Travel Checklist Assistant ("the App") is developed by Kennon Foster. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our App.
We do not collect any personal data. All data you enter into the App (trips, checklist items, preferences, and settings) is stored locally on your device only. The developer does not operate any servers and never receives your data. The one exception is Apple's own weather and geocoding services, described below, which the App calls on your behalf to show forecasts for your destination.
The App does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. No data is shared with advertisers or data brokers.
The App includes a live weather feature. When it fetches the forecast for a trip, the destination text you entered is sent to Apple's geocoding service to convert it into map coordinates, and those coordinates are sent to Apple's WeatherKit service to retrieve the forecast. This information is processed by Apple under Apple's privacy policy and is not sent to the developer or to any advertiser or data broker. The App does not access your device's GPS location; it only uses the destination you type. If the weather feature is not used, no destination or location information leaves your device.
The App may request access to your device's Calendar and Reminders to sync trip dates and send packing reminders. This data is accessed locally on your device and is never transmitted to external servers. You can revoke this access at any time in your device Settings.
All app data is stored locally on your device using Apple's built-in data storage frameworks. If you delete the App, all associated data will be removed from your device.
The App does not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13. The App does not require any personal information to function.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
